Game Offenses and Penalties Guide
The following offenses and penalties guide will serve as the basis for both and its due implementation. Circumstances regarding each case will vary and situations that are not specifically provided for in the guidelines below might arise. For such cases, the GM Team and BOI Extreme Management will deliberate and judge the best course of action.
I. Gameplay:
1. Exploitation of Bugs/Glitches:
- It is inevitable to encounter bugs or glitches in all games. Players who discover any bugs or glitches in game should report the situation to the Game Masters immediately. Players will be penalized if they are found to be making use of the bug/glitch for their own interest, regardless if the course of action may or may not lead to an unfair advantage in game play over other players.
2. Use/Distribution of Third Party Programs:
- Advertising, using and (or) distributing 3rd party programs that are used to alter game play, unlock game features that are not currently available to other players or disrupt game play for an unfair advantage.
3. Tampering of Game Client/Server Information:
- Attempting to interfere with, hack into, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running Battle of Immortals.
II. In-game Behavior:
1. Inappropriate Naming: For simple reference, avoid:
- Impersonation of GMs and BOI Extreme Staff that will mislead or cause confusion to other players.
- Sexual context.
- Vulgarity or otherwise offensive, or may cause confusion.
- Names that is or may be illegal or is or may be protected by trademark or other proprietary rights.
2. Event Disruption:
- Disrupting in-game events through harassing event participants and event facilitators affects the game experience for other players. Violators will be issued penalties.
3. Harassing a GM/BOI Extreme Staff:
- Harassment, by definition, persistent, disallowed actions against another person, is strictly prohibited. Anything that imposes on another person's natural rights is not allowed.
4. Making Real Life Threats:
- Threats in any form, even in jest, is not allowed, and will be treated seriously.
5. Distributing another user's Real Life Personal Information:
- Users are prohibited to post or to communicate another player's real life information (name, address, account name, etc.) through the game or forums.
6. Kill-Stealing:
- Defined as attacking and killing a monster that is already engaged by another player repeatly.
7. Mob-Luring:
- Defined as luring a monster to a certain party or players with the intention to ruin or causing a players death.
8. Inappropriate Broadcast/Flooding/Spamming:
- Users are prohibited to spam, flood, or make duplicate posts when using World and Normal Chat.
9. Use of Profanity or Obscenities in any means:
- Users are prohibited to post or link to any sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive imagery or content.
10. GM/BOI Extreme Staff Impersonation:
- Pretending to be a BOI Extremeemployee or to be under the employment of any of BOI Extremeaffiliates or Developers in order to extract personal information, game items, Extreme Coins, from another player is a form of scamming and will not be tolerated by game management.
11. Real Money Trading (RMT):
- Users are prohibited to advertise the intent to or commit the act of buying, trading, selling, sharing or transferring access of items or any other game-related feature to another account or player through transactions involving the use of real money.
12. Advertising non-BOI ExtremeProducts:
- Users are prohibited to market, promote, advertise, or solicit within the game or forums any product that is not related to the game.
13. Use of BOI Extreme Products or services for illegal activities:
- All BOI Extreme Products and services are strictly to be used for legal activities only.
14. Language
-Using other language then English in warcry , global chat & world chat
15. Realms
-Using realm 9 . This is only for the GM/BOI Extreme Staff
III. Game Account Theft:
Hacking:
- Accessing another player’s account to take items, delete the character, alter stats, or obtain personal information about the player.
Scamming:
- Any attempt to induce another player in revealing his/her user ID and/or password through any means.
IV. Miscellaneous Provisions
Non-compensation:
- Players who suffer any loss as a result of participating in acts that are in violation of the game rules will not be compensated. Hacks and scam cases will not be compensated as the security of the account is the owner's responsibility.
- Players who suffer any loss due to player error will not be compensated. Player error and the avoidance of such is the player's responsibility.
Special Cases:
- In cases where the rules and regulations do not explicitly cover a case, the GM Team will convene and review the case and pass appropriate judgment. Any decision made by the GM Team is deemed final.
Involvement in Violating Game Rules:
-All players, characters and accounts found to be involved or to be in collusion with other players, character and accounts committing violations of the rules will be subject to penalty as well.
Case Processing:
- In cases of player-incited investigations, only reports that go through official correspondence with BOI Extreme will be processed. A claim, whether legitimate or not must be properly documented and recorded for later reference and archiving. This will greatly help case processing of similar cases should there be such cases.
Disclosure of Personal Information:
- Disclosure of your own personal information to the public is highly discouraged. Remember, GM's will never ask you for your username or password.
Account Sharing:
-Any loss, damages or player incurred error that can be attributed to sharing the use of an account will not be compensated by the GM Team.
Amendments to Game Rules and Regulations:
- The GM may make amendments to the rules when necessary. The amended set of rules and regulations will the duly posted at the forums for reference. They will take effect at the time they are made public.
